Yes, I AM Worth It!
Life is not always peaches and cream. Every day is not going
to be a good day and that’s okay. Lots of times we are under the impression
that if bad things happen to us then we must be bad people. When people abandon
us we might feel that we are the problem, that we just might not be loveable.
Or maybe you’re thinking that it was your fault that they didn’t appreciate you
or that you did something wrong to cause them to hurt you. But that is not so!
You are valuable to God, no matter how people treat you.
We have to make ourselves aware to the tricks of the enemy.
All he comes to do is steal, kill, and destroy. He wants to steal your worth,
kill your hope, and destroy your future. He doesn’t have to ability to create
anything but he can and will imitate the word of the Lord. He will try to
convince you that your past has forfeited the blessing of your future. The
devil will even stoop so low and tell you that you deserve to be treated poorly
because of how you were raised or because someone violated you in the past. He
might even try to condemn you for the things that God has already forgiven you
for.
The influx of women who are settling to be baby-mama’s and
jump-offs instead of wives have fallen for the lies instead of being patient for
the truth.
The truth is, you are worth it!
When you come to God with a sincere heart and ask for His
forgiveness, He answers those prayers….no matter what you‘ve done in the past.
Yes, He is a just God and there will be punishment for our sins but He is also
a God of love. He died on the cross in order to give you a chance at a new
life. You don’t have to continue to be who you once were. Your life is not even
about what you‘ve done it’s about what He did for you.
Just because you had sex before you got married doesn’t mean
that you can’t reclaim your purity. The devil wants you to believe that once
you’ve been a sinner that you always have to be a sinner. A sinner settles for
the punishment while the redeemed fight for their grace. They make sure to live
a life that’s worth the ultimate sacrifice that God made for them. Don’t accept
what the devil throws at you, God said you were worth fighting for.
Dying to yourself daily means dying to thoughts that are
contrary to what God says. You have to bring those things that don’t come from
God under submission. He gave you the power to overcome because you are worth
it. You’re worth waiting for, you’re worth fighting for, you’re worth marrying,
and you’re worth saving! Not because I said so, but because God says so.
Don’t value yourself by what happened to you, what was done
to you, or what you did. When you realize the plans God has for you and the
grace He has already provided for you, it changes the way you see yourself.
You won’t mind waiting for God’s best when you know you are
of the same quality. Not just the best mate, but the best of everything God has
for you: career, ministry, home, friends, family, opportunity, etc. Start
seeing yourself through the lens of the One who created you. Forgive yourself so
that you can be closer to Him.
Why, you ask: Because you’re worth it!
With All My Love,
Mrs. Truscott
