God In Us

On 12/14/2012, the United States experienced a tragedy that resonated with every person around the world. Another school shooting challenged what we call safety while charging us with an even greater issue. Some are questioning how something like this could have happened, myself included. Many are addressing issues of gun control, mental illness, and security in our school systems. However, the common theme has been the removal of organized prayer from school.

For believers, we have to realize that it is our responsibility to ensure that we, along with our children, should be carriers of God’s presence.

Removing organized prayer from schools is not removing God! No man can remove what God has established!

The harsh reality is that our children do not belong to us, God only loans them to us to care for and raise them while they are here with us on earth.  We are only caretakers of His precious jewels!
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it
Last Friday taught us that wherever our children are, that is where God is. Because of what we place in them, He is never absent from them.

Now, more than ever, we must realize that our children must be equipped with the power of prayer and how to access the presence of the Lord. Do not send your child out into the world without the ability to call on the name of Jesus.

While the world fights over whether there should be more or less gun control, we should be arming our children with the power of prayer. Our job is to protect our children, spiritually and naturally. As parents, you must cover your children in prayer and teach them how to access God for themselves.

God has not given us a spirit of fear because we know that we are more than conquerors! Equip yourself and your family with the right tools to fight with.

With All My Love,
Mrs. Truscott
